It seems that as a by-product of being a bureaucrat on English Wiktionary, I'm starting to be asked technical questions about the operations of the new other language Wiktionaries. These are well beyond my expertise.
Ronline from the Romanian Wiktionary has pointed out that the ((NUMBEROFARTICLES)) function on that Main Page gives only the number "-1". That also seems to be the case in several other new Wiktionaries. While checking this I also noticed that the list of all articles by title in same projects also comes up blank.
Perhaps someone more capable might look at this.

I'm not sure if this is the right list to ask a localization related question but I guess it is not totally irrelevant.
On MediaWiki:All_Messages there are no strings related to date and time. How can we localize date/time?

It's done in your LanguageXX.php file.
For example, here's the Welsh (cy) equivalent:
/* private */ $wgWeekdayNamesCy = array( "Dydd Sul", "Dydd Llun", "Dydd Mawrth", "Dydd Mercher", "Dydd Iau", "Dydd Gwener", "Dydd Sadwrn" );
/* private */ $wgMonthNamesCy = array( "Ionawr", "Chwefror", "Mawrth", "Ebrill", "Mai", "Mehefin", "Gorffenaf", "Awst", "Medi", "Hydref", "Tachwedd", "Rhagfyr" );
/* private */ $wgMonthAbbreviationsCy = array( "Ion", "Chwe", "Maw", "Ebr", "Mai", "Meh", "Gor", "Aws", "Med", "Hyd", "Tach", "Rhag" );
We've also introduced synonyms for the "magic names" variables so we don't have to have English words in our articles when we're redirecting, etc.
/* private */ $wgMagicWordsCy = array( # ID CASE SYNONYMS MAG_REDIRECT => array( 0, "#redirect", "#ail-cyfeirio" ), MAG_NOTOC => array( 0, "__NOTOC__", "__DIMTAFLENCYNNWYS__" ), MAG_NOEDITSECTION => array( 0, "__NOEDITSECTION__", "__DIMADRANGOLYGU__" ), MAG_START => array( 0, "__START__", "__DECHRAU__" ), MAG_CURRENTMONTH => array( 1, "{{CURRENTMONTH}}", "{{MISCYFOES}}" ), MAG_CURRENTMONTHNAME => array( 1, "{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}}", "{{ENWMISCYFOES}}" ), MAG_CURRENTDAY => array( 1, "{{CURRENTDAY}}", "{{DYDDIADCYFOES}}" ), MAG_CURRENTDAYNAME => array( 1, "{{CURRENTDAYNAME}}", "{{ENWDYDDCYFOES}}" ), MAG_CURRENTYEAR => array( 1, "{{CURRENTYEAR}}", "{{FLWYDDYNCYFOES}}" ), MAG_CURRENTTIME => array( 1, "{{CURRENTTIME}}", "{{AMSERCYFOES}}" ), MAG_NUMBEROFARTICLES => array( 1,"{{NUMBEROFARTICLES}}", "{{NIFEROERTHYGLAU}}"), MAG_CURRENTMONTHNAMEGEN => array( 1,"{{CURRENTMONTH NAMEGEN}}", "{{GENENWMISCYFOES}}" ), MAG_MSG => array( 0, "{{MSG:$1}}" ), MAG_SUBST => array( 0, "{{SUBST:$1}}" ), MAG_MSGNW => array( 0, "{{MSGNW:$1}}" ), MAG_END => array( 0, "__END__", "DIWEDD_" ), MAG_IMG_THUMBNAIL => array( 1, "bawd", "thumb" ), MAG_IMG_RIGHT => array( 1, "de", "right" ), MAG_IMG_LEFT => array( 1, "chwith", "left" ), MAG_IMG_NONE => array( 1, "dim", "none" ), MAG_IMG_WIDTH => array( 1, "$1px" ), MAG_IMG_CENTER => array( 1, "canol", "centre" ) );

Hi,
Suppose I've already localized strings via the namespace method, would the strings on this file overwrite those?
And what's the difference between Special:Allmessages and MediaWiki:All_system_messages? The latter was apparently created yesterday by "MediaWiki default" on the new Minnan wiki. (It is, btw, quite useful to have the English strings juxtaposed.)
Thanks.

My understanding is that the namespace strings take priority over the ones in LanguageXX.php

I'm not sure that there is a difference!

Ugh, will have to deal with a good way to fix those.
