Hi list,
is there a procedure/best practice to automatically transfer old SVN style extensions to GIT?
Is this something the maintainer of an extension needs to do?
An example would be: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DateDiff

Hi yes I think. if you request that the repo be created including the link of the extension for the extension page and where the repo is currently located like at the svn location they can move it to git. I am not sure what the link is to request for it to be created is since they moved requests to phabricator.

Please file a request on MW.org for a new repo like usual. Mention that you want the history of a SVN repo migrated and we'll get it taken care of.

I think this was moved to phabricator.

If "this" is requesting the creation of new Git repositories, it's handled at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Git/New_repositories/Requests
(linked from https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/profile/330/ )
