Hi,
not wanting to sound impatient, but I still haven't received an answer to my questions.
a) What about my patch (the one about the pentuple-apostrophe bug)? Is it going to be committed? If not, why not? What do I need to change to make it committable?
b) Will I ever get CVS write access or not? If not, am I supposed to submit patches to this mailing list? Nobody else seems to do that.

Well, I would like to see it thoroughly tested; basic markup is something we try not to break.

Everybody else who has CVS access has been a longtime contributor who asked for it to facilitate something particular they'd been working on (updating language files in several cases). You've sort of popped up out of the blue, which is fine, but don't expect to have the keys to the source repository handed out instantenously; we don't use a wiki for source control yet. ;)
I've added you to the project; feel free to commit the patch and I'll make sur it gets on the test server for more live testing.

I was hoping someone here would test it. I don't have an installation to test it on. I've been trying all of today to install Apache & PHP, but as is typical for Linux, it's not possible. (Anyone wanna help me via IM or IRC or something?)

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that I expected this. I don't. I only expect that contributions not be ignored ;-) It's just that I saw it as the only alternative if no-one was going to test and review it for me, so I was wondering how other newbie contributors are supposed to do it.

Thanks, but I seem to be unable to commit the patch: cvs [server aborted]: "commit" requires write access to the repository
Did I miss something? (I logged in to the CVS server using my Sourceforge login and password. The CVS server didn't complain about a wrong password or anything.)
