So, the last word I've seen on 1.11.x is that the release would be held off until after Wikimania:

It doesn't seem like a release branch has been made, so I'm wondering what the status is.
I'm asking because I'd like to help with the release testing by rolling out the RC versions on a couple of production sites. I've been kind of conservative with MW releases in the past, and I'd like to make more of a contribution by getting ahead of the curve.
Thanks,
-Evan

Yep. We're still catching up on a shit-ton of stuff. Until trunk goes live for testing, which has been held up by bugs and schema changes, nothing goes out.

Aah, you gotta love imperial units! But how much is that in burning Libraries of Congress?

A ton is a legitimate metric unit, 1,000 kilograms.
Except in some places it has to be spelled "tonne", or "metric ton" to clarify.
As long as it's not a metric ton of printed out bug reports, we're ok 8-)

The metric version is always spelt tonne as far as I'm aware. But I think the joke was the use of "shit-ton" as a unit.
