I have been wondering, I am unable to access SVN at all. What would be the best way for me to get the code and submit patches? Also, I am assuming that access to the repo would be completely useless to me; would there be no reason for me to be granted it therefore or would it still have its uses?
Thanks in advance, Joseph Roberts

I think we should probably start with you telling us why you can't access Subversion, and us trying to think of ways to fix it so that you can access it.

My development computer doesn't have an internet connection, it's not possible for me to work around that.

Nightly dumps: http://toolserver.org/~vvv/mw-nightly/
These appear to be kept up to date.

Upload your patches to Bugzilla.

If you can't access it, there's no need for an account. The whole repo is available (read only) to the public and via the web with ViewVC.

I was not aware of the nightly dumps. Thanks much! What does it mean by phase3, out of interest?
For non bugged patches, should I send them here or submit a bug to Bugzilla for the sake of completeness?

It was the third phase of the Wikipedia software, just never been renamed :)

Open a bug, don't send patches to the list.

Heh, fair enough.

Ok, that seems easy enough!

Thanks all, I'm hoping I can offer many things to the projects.
Another thing, is the latest version of XAMPP for Windows sufficient for developing on?
TIA - Joseph Roberts

XAMPP finally dropped 5.3.1? About damn time.
Hardest part of using Windows is probably compiling texvc (math support), but most people aren't developing for that anyway.
