Hi,
I posted a question at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Git/New_repositories , but i'm not sure that that page is watched, so i'm poking here, too:
I couldn't find any guide for migrating an existing extension from SVN to Git. The extension in question is TranslationNotifications, which is not currently WMF-deployed, but probably will be soon. And the question is relevant for all other extension.
Thank you.

I've heard this question from a couple of people already, so here's the official answer on-list.
Right now I'm waiting on the dust to settle with the initial migrations before we do another batch of extensions. We're working on l10n updates right now, and fixing the meta-repo for checking out all extensions. Also the wmf branch so we can get back to normal deploys needs finishing. I don't want to put off migrations for a long time, but I'd like to finish ironing out some of the rough edges before we put another group through the process. I'm thinking...a week maybe?
At that time, I'll post a list for extension authors to sign up for the next batch (maybe another 100 or so?). That should pretty much cover the ~250 or so most active extensions. Repeat this until we're done with extensions.
Beyond that, we'll start moving over other misc. projects and making more and more of the SVN repo read-only.
I want to thank *everyone* for being so totally awesome with this process. I've put a lot of work into trying to do this right and the feedback (positive and negative) has been immensely helpful and at times nearly overwhelming :)

Just as a remark I created that central --> page https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Git/Questions <---- for Questions ...
Wouldn't it better to start questions and answers there, a central place ? Tom

No, I've got enough places to check. We don't need another page.

Chad, please let us know: Where is your page ?
For what? Asking questions? Here on list or on IRC is just fine. We also have talkpages for all the existing Git pages.
Moving stuff to a new page increases the chances of nobody seeing it...

nonono, I wanted a central single page on a central top place. It _is_ already linked in the category and on the mw git page/s

This is my major objection: there are already too many pages.
So adding another is going to help? In all honesty, it's just an extra support forum that will get mostly forgotten--like the Support Desk but with even less people watching. Ask your questions on IRC or the lists or an existing talkpage.

You did not understand my intention to help you - to have a ***single*** page for questions, and a *single* page for answers ==> FAQ ( https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Git needs your change, too )

I completely understand, and it's not a help to me.

Would it be possible to the above mentioned TranslationNotifications already? Since empty repository exists in git, it overrides the svn version in translatewiki.net and as result no messages show up for translation. I don't want to add exceptions to our scripts, so the only other option is to disable the group in twn until it is migrated.

Big thanks to you, hashar and others for being so helpful finding solutions to my numerous problems. I believe we can sort out all the remaining issues in due time.
