It sounds like you have "Use external editor by default" (Χρήση εξωτερικού επεξεργαστή από προεπιλογή) enabled in your preferences. Switching that off should fix it.

Thanks! That did it! The problem did not appear immediately after I set this option so I didn't associate the two. In fact the issue was still intermittent even yesterday, several days after it first appeared. Is this expected behavior or should I open a bug in http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/?
