Hi guys,
Could someone with the access please change the redirection on http://wikimania.wikimedia.org/ to the wikimania2009.wikimedia.org site?
As it is now 2009, I think it would be best suitable to change this to the latest site.
Thanks,
James

Added to Rob's todo for Monday. :)

Brion,
Do you also have control over this domain: http://wm08reg.wikimedia.org/
For some odd reason, it's redirecting now to some other Arabic-language site. That domain was where we submitted our presentations and registered. (I also wonder what happened to everyone's personal information that they provided?)

This has already been answered in a thread you were involved in. See, specifically, * http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikimania-l/2008-December/001281.html * http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikimania-l/2008-December/001283.html
Austin probably still has the information if needed.
Casey,
Has this been resolved yet? I think not. The Wikimedia domain is still pointing to the Arabic site. Perhaps the technical people are not on the Wikimania list.
The local team may control the server, but they do not control the wikimedia domains. Restoring the content would be nice, but I'm more concerned about the domain pointing some other place, and the personal information.

Brion already added this to the bug request: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16873#c1 It should be fixed by Monday.

The personal information wasn't compromised, Austin says he still has access to it. It's just that the URL points to a different location now. As for the speakers information, that was never hosted on that site, it was just a mirror of the information on pentabarf which is still there: https://wikimedia.pentabarf.org/

I'd also like to know about that, thanks for pointing that out Aude.
All I know is that it was running pentabarf software for the submission and display of the sessions and also a collection point for Registration details.
