Hi,
What's the status of the database dumps? Editor's in HuWiki are eagerly awaiting the next stats update. :)
Thanks, nyenyec

Currently testing more improvements to the dump system to speed it up, will launch another dump this weekend.
The 20050921 dump stopped at jawiki due to lack of disk space; the server needs to be cleaned out.

Looks like en died; I can't imagine 20051002_pages_current.xml.bz2 is really 1.7 G. http://download.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/
Thanks Brion.

Indeed, somebody physically re-racked one of the secondary cluster database servers while it was being used for backups, and I had to restart some of them. It'll be a while before en's done.
I've whipped up a little more documentation here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Data_dumps
Could stand to merge the how-to bits from http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Importing_a_Wikipedia_database_dump_into_Medi...
Please comment... :)

That's great info, thanks.

I'd do so if I was confident that it were still accurate. I'm certain the import section is wrong (which is OK since the Data_dumps page is accurate on this point), but it casts some doubt on the "Rebuild auxiliary tables" section.
Does rebuldall.php still exist and work as advertised?
... Or, give me a few hours and I'll report back. ;-)
