Daylight Savings Time ended in most of North America and Europe over this last weekend (Early in the morning on Sunday Oct 26, to be exact).

It's worth noting that the Mediawiki software is not aware of daylight savings changes. I live in Montreal, and my offset was stuck at -4 until I went to Special:Preferences and did a "Fill in from Browser" to make it -5.

I thought this would be worth noting. I wonder if using symbolic timezones (Eastern Time, Western European Time, etc.) would make this less of a problem.

I also figure it's probably worthwhile to make a note somewhere on Mediawiki sites telling registered users to reset their offsets.
