Apparently Gmane enables this for some newsgroups but not for others. For wikitech-l, it is disabled. Both the e-mail address I quoted above and the "From" address in all the postings here are unencrypted.

Strange. I have done the original requests to gmane for those lists and I am sure Wikitech-l used to be encrypted.
I have send a request to gmane to put it back on.
