I was almost desperately trying to change http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Hooks [1]

in a way that it allows this page to be rendered via the "Download as PDF" function which is new in the toolbar since last week.

"WARNING: Article could not be rendered - ouputting plain text. Potential causes of the problem are: (a) a bug in the pdf-writer software (b) problematic Mediawiki markup (c) table is too wide"

Perhaps -> you <- can help, and change the table format deliberately - so that the page can be PDF-ed and printed in a book?
