i've set up a mail->news gateway for the mailing lists at news.wikimedia.org. it only allows reading, not posting to the lists. as well as carrying (and archiving) all lists, it may be useful when Gmane is down or having issues.

Just picked this message up after my holiday, and the server doesn't seem to respond.

Has it been rescinded?
