Yes perhaps "blogging" shouldn't be

having one set of formatting/linking constructs, one set of user

to my company. Basically, I just hacked out a better feed for
aggregators and let people organize their user talk page by
newest section first.
I just wanted to make code available we are using internally as a way

Fair enough. :) Do you think you could work it into an extension?
There are a great many things that can be added to a wiki though we
certainly don't want to support and ship them all (and don't want to be
associated with some, probably... ;) but it's a shame to waste code
that works and serves a useful purpose for at least some people. If
more of these can be done as extensions that can be dropped in to
existing code with a minimum of fuss (and hopefully be more robust
against minor version upgrades, at least) that would likely be good for
everyone.
There are a few modules in the extensions module in CVS
(
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/wikipedia/extensions/). Please
feel free to make suggestions on improvements to the extension system
such as other places where hooks are needed.
