Hi!
It has been asked multiple times at [[commons:Commons talk:File types]] to enable OpenOffice.org 2.0 formats (=OASIS OpenDocument Format) for file upload. Any objections? Can you please enable it?
Filename extensions are .odt (text), .ods (spreadsheet), .odp (presentation), and .odg (graphics), then there is .odc (chart), .odf (formula), .odb (database), .odi (image), and the according templates .ott, .ots, .otp, .otg, .otc, otf, .oti and finally .odm (text-master) (see http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.0/OpenDocument-v1.0-os.pdf appendix C, page 697f.)
Greetings, Jakob

Where specifically would you like them?
We've also gotten requests to disable uploading of document file formats in most places, as they're only really relevant in a handful of meta-work wikis, not the main content wikis.

I would greatly appreciate at least .odt and .ott being enabled on EN Wikinews for the Wikinews Print Edition. Craig

For at least Meta this could be useful. The option to upload also an archive file like .gzip ,.rar or zip would also be useful for Meta.
When people make a poster or a leaflet it is very useful that the can upload also the source files of that item and not only the end result. If an archive format can be upload then the file, from whatever the program is, also be included.
Besides Meta enabling this for all the internal wikis, especially the comcom-wiki, chapter wikis and foundationwiki can also be useful I suspect.
Side node; the upload function of the comcom wiki does not work.
The upload directory (/mnt/upload3/private/comcom) is not writable by the webserver.
