hi Christof,
Of course I went many times on your site before :-) and you are one of
the first mediawiki I saw with a complete redesigned skin... tried to
follow the exemple :-( but not so well.
I wanted two things on the calendar and I guess that I could have this
by just hacking yours:
- I wanted to have the name of the page in the title
- Have more than one page by day
Maybe I should simply make a search for this naming convention:
Calendar_Name/2005/Dec/09/My_title_for_the_page
I'll try and have a look at your code over the holidays.
Thanks for reminding me of your extension.

(and if you find a solution for the captcha in 1.5... let me know:-))

I lately built a calendar extension for mediawiki
1.5+. The sql request
was easy to create, thanks to the re-architecting of the database.
Nevertheless, as nobody could yet help me transpose the captcha system
for 1.5, I still have to stay with my oldish version of mediawiki 1.3 :
I hear Rob Church gasping again:-) So, in contradiction to evolution, I
now need to adapt the easy version of the calendar for mediawiki 1.3
Here is the question:
I ask for all the pages title having a link to a page whose title has an
[[Dec/%/2005]] pattern.
You could try
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Cdamian/calendar
which is the simple wiki calendar extension I wrote. It doesn't use
SQL queries (except to try flushing the cache). To get page titles
like you want you would use something like this:
<calendar>
format="%M/%j/%Y"
view="month"
</calendar>
I haven't tried the extension on 1.3 for a while, but it might still
work.
