Hi folks,
Is there a page where I can find a matrix or some other executive summary of what players we're using on what browsers?
Also, how can one force the use of a certain player? I'm asking because I've tried to push for more video to be used in Infoboxes just to see examples of why that is a terrible idea [1]. Now, I strongly suspect that the issue is the Infobox code rather than the player, but I'm not sure how to debug it, since I see the videojs on all my browsers.

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TimedMediaHandler#Client_support in theory. In practice that seems to be about the Kaltura player but not VideoJS? Ah, that page does not even provide a link to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TimedMediaHandler/VideoJS_Player Keeping documentation up-to-date: Not always the main focus it seems.
Probably also depends on whether you are logged in and if you have enabled "New video player" under "Preferences > Beta features".
Probably also depends on whether your web browser (version) supports HTML5: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T100106
Probably also depends on which exact website you are on: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T248418

I don't know what "is a terrible idea" in the image. Please be explicit in what you expect and what happens instead so we don't have to guess.

Yup, that was causing videojs to appear. Thanks!

The movie is left-aligned with a huge padding on the right which makes the Infobox too wide.
As I said, I suspect that the issue is the Infobox CSS, not the video player, but unfortunately on my machines it still looks good.
