one of the big problems of Wikipedia is that when you read an article in Wikipedia you never can be sure if the page was vandalized a short time before you arrived.
Huh? Yes you can. You look at the history.
What if you see that someone changed "1904" to "1905" in a biography a week ago. Is it vandalism, or is it a correction?
One can't tell on the face of it. On the [[Fidel Castro]] article his birth year is periodically changed between 1926 and 1927, presumably becaus the sources vary. This should be a relatively uncontroversial fact in a biography for a controversial person. If I assume good faith both parties probably think they are making a correction, and are getting their information from different sources. The sources probably need to be tracked down, and documented.
