http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Version says "4.0.40-wikimedia-log". It's a custom compile based off 4.0.40 -- source code is at http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mysql/.
last official upstream vendor version was 4.0.30 :)
