I've traditionally referred to this group of features as "single sign-on". I don't think that there's any opposition to these features at all, and they are much desired.

Yes, yes! Sorry for the lack of clarity. All of those things are bad. Getting rid of them is good, and I call the good thing 'single sign-on'.
