This isn't a definitive answer, but I would doubt it - the existing one [presumably] dates to when the English Wikipedia was first converted to a bespoke wiki engine (which later turned into MediaWiki). Of course, if you *do* manage to write a decent script to do such importing, I'd have thought it would be worth a place in the CVS tree (if nice and small; if not, availability from http://mediawiki.org would be good).
