Just to clarify: my comment was not about the cross-post of this message to the wikidata list, but about the one sent to wikitech.
I was really appreciative of his particular call because it underlines exactly this. Multilinguality is not a part of the next phase of the info boxes that is immediately obvious, to me this is a real disappointment. It may make it easier to develop and at the same time it makes the relevancy so much less.
I disagree with you that Wikidata does not cover multilingual data, but that seems to be a topic for the wikidata list.
