On a more serious note, let's all just chill out for a second and remember that everyone is bound to have a different opinion regarding interacting with the software; editing is, after all, the main functionality within MediaWiki, and as a consequence, the editing interface is one of the most critical. Which means that any changes being made to it, or to supplement it or <insert chosen verb arrangement here> need careful thought, and discussion...

Certainly. Never argued that. I was just trying to rein in a little people's flights on completely replacing the internal storage format with, say, XML, in the service of that sort of work.
