This missing feature and the equivalent for gadgets ( https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T31272) are in my very humble opinion a source of a big waste of volunteer time and a big loss of quality across hundreds of Wikimedia projects. Any help pushing these features closer to the prioritization queues is well invested. I wish I would have been more successful lobbying...
