Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions and best practices on how to embed flash movies into the mediawiki.
Sample snippet we want to use:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swfl ash.cab#version=7,0,0,0" width="950" height="600" id="main" align="middle"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://nike-qa.ny.rga.com/blog/media/swf/main.swf" /> <param name="base" value="media/swf/" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /> <embed src=" swf/main.swf" base="blog/media/swf/" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="950" height="600" name="swf/main" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed> </object>
We changed the variable $wgUserHtml to allow the tags used above and put all the statements in one line.
The problem we have left is that all URLS within the HTML snippet are translated.
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swfl ash.cab#version=7,0,0,0" width="950" height="600" id="main" align="middle">
Turns into
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="<a href="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash. cab#version=7,0,0,0" class='external' title="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash .cab#version=7,0,0,0">http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cab s/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0</a>" width="950" height="600" id="main" align="middle">
The codebase attribute gets translated.
Is there a way to turn that off?
Appreciate your help, Stan
