I read some complaints and questions on interwiki-links. Will there be the ability for admins to edit the list of interwiki-prefixes in MediaWiki 1.5 so developers do not have to deal with them anymore?
I haven't heard anything about such a thing, but I've been thinking for a while that it would be a good idea; you never know, I might even get round to doing it myself. Out of deference to wiki tradition, though, it would probably end up being called Special:InterMap if I had anything to do with it. :)

That's only for *internal* interwikis (between projects) rather than the wider set of prefixes, which is more like what you could call a "WikiRoll". That's currently managed for Wikimedia projects at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Interwiki_map
