I don't think they are really a problem. core was broken (it shouldn't contain submodules), thus all tests failed. As c37975 was an automerge, jenkins didn't have the chance to stop it.
It would be interesting if jenkins would -2 whenever a change is sent to master branch with a parent in a different branch (wmf/1.21wmf6 in this case).
