I just had an unusual thing happen to me on en:Wikipedia.
Checking some recent changes on my watchlist, I saw that the last several lines of [[Family]] had been deleted. I copied the missing lines from the previous version, pasted them into the current version, and hit "Save Page" (99% sure I didn't hit Preview). What I got back was a preview of the page -- ok, maybe I hit the wrong button.
What was really strange is that the contents of the edit box was truncated -- missing more at the end of the article than what I had originally been replacing. It seems likely that something similar had caused the original problem.
I hit "Back" on my browser, and hit "Save Page" again. This time everything worked fine.
I'm using Firefox 1.0 under WinXP SP2. FWIW, I did note that the [[Family]] article is large enough to trigger the size warning. That shouldn't matter to Firefox, but may have played a part in the original truncation...?
