We are very open to breaking it out into submodules. We should be able to do this very quickly. In many cases, users of OOUI are only in need of a few base classes, and we've recently done much more to divide up the style code to make it possible to load things a la carte. I believe this is especially important for mobile due to both the size of the entire library and also the number of widgets in the library that are yet to be styled or optimized for mobile. I also suspect that a large chunk of that data is the icon stylesheet, which embeds a large number of SVG or PNG icons. I don't know what the solution for that chunk is, but I'm sure we can figure out something clever.
We should talk when I get back from vacation on the 13th, or if you are at the hackathon you can try your hand at getting Roan or Timo to move forward on this.
We acknowledge that right now is an early adoption phase for using OOUI. We really respect and appreciate those who are brave enough to begin using it now, and are dedicated to supporting them. Thank you for giving it a try, and please continue to be patient as we work through the challenges together.
