Tim,
If you get/have a enthusiastic and excited volunteer, then consider them. If you want someone who is reasonably laid back and patiently manages lists mail without unnecessary interference then I am happy to manage lists, even in ugly Mailman software. :-)
I have managed mailing lists for about fourteen years, first in SmartList and now Mailman at RootsWeb, and was for about six years the Listmaster. Not a fuss to stick a couple more under the wing. I've made myself mailing list owner of mediawiki-l and wikitech-l temporarily, since I don't think Brion is interested in moderating either of them anymore.
But it's a relatively simple task, and it seems to me that it could be done by someone with more spare time and less awesome hacking skills ;)
The tasks are:
- Manage the mailman configuration for these two lists.
- Put members on moderation if they post inappropriate content.
- Deal with people who send administrative requests to the list or to
*-owner@lists.
You can also expect to get some forwarded spam. Anyone interested?
