The only mod address is wikimediaie@lists.wikimedia.org ...
The question came up because there was a message from Stevie Benton (media guy at Wikimedia UK) about a press call from Ireland, stuck in the mod queue. It occurs to me there might be all manner of things in the mod queue ... and having a moderator is probably good.
(I'll happily be a mod of last resort, but someone actually in .ie would be better.)

Hi David,
Actually I am, as well as one Irish WP editor. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on a cruise ship off Mexico right now and largely incommunicado this week! :)
Best,

David and Alison,
I haven't been paying attention to my email for a few weeks owing to a particularly busy time at work. I had assumed too that I was more of a "fall back" to Alison and so wasn't actively following up on moderation requests when they came in.
I'll keep an active eye on them from here on.
Best, Oliver

Hi all,
We get about two or three mod requests per *year* around here! I think we just got unlucky this time, where both of us were unavailable at the same time. Usually, I can respond to requests in minutes :)
Regards,

Yes. My apologies for panicking :-) Stevie's on the list now (I think?), so that won't happen again ....

Hello everyone.
I am indeed on the list now :) Do let me know if you're interested in chatting about Wikipedia on the radio this Friday.
Thanks,
Stevie

Oh, it's back on? Excellent!
So who wants to become a slightly public face of Wikipedia? :-)

It's loosely pencilled in. Think from their side it's almost dependent on getting a Wikipedian from Ireland.

In a somewhat fortuitous coincidence, the show has just got back in touch to see if we have someone. The broadcast would be on Friday morning, most likely at 10.10am or 11.10am and they'd like to speak to someone before Thursday to discuss. Do let me know if you fancy it and I'll pass the details on.
Stevie
