Hi all again -
Well, at least I didn't miss much while I was away! :-)
Can we pick this up again? Where we were at when I left was picking a date and place for an informal meet-up. Looking through the Doodle poll (http://doodle.com/98u89hyei8r24dus), the most favoured dates were: * Saturday, 4th September * Friday, 24th September * Saturday, 25th September IMHO the 4th of September is now too short notice - though we might be able to get away with it if we really hit the ground running. That would leave either Friday the 24th or Saturday the 25th.
Like I said before, I'd favour a Saturday meet-up for several reasons (mainly because it would allow those working Monday-Friday from outside of Dublin to travel up and return in the same day and to avoid an evening). However, I am more concerned about making this happen than to be precious about having to take time off work to meet up on a Friday evening.
So, can I suggest either: * Friday, 24th September: 7:00pm(?) in Dún Laoghaire (dinner?, pub?, tour still possible?) * Saturday, 25th September: 2:00pm lunch in a Dún Laoghaire restaurant followed by casual chat in a nearby pub (with a possible private tour of the Maritime Museum as a treat) Clem, are you still OK to arrange a venue?
There was also talk of pre-meet-ups at regional locations. I'm based in Cork. Aisling was one person who expressed an interest in a Cork meet. Annette also express interest in a Cavan/cross-border meet-up. Should we work on making these happen in advance?
Regards, Oliver
So, who's up for meeting on Saturday 25th September? -Jodi
