*Editing events in TOG Hackerspace*
We are holding a Wikipedia editing hackathon on Saturday 21 March https://www.meetup.com/en-AU/Wikimedia-Community-Ireland-Meetup/events/269230527/ in TOG from 12-6pm. March is a month with many important celebrations, including Seachtain na Gaeilge, International Women's Day, St Patrick's Day, World Book Day, Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, and Earth Hour. Why not mark one of these celebrations by adding, creating or improving a Wikipedia article? We will teach you how to get started editing Wikipedia, how to upload an image, or how to contribute to any of the other Wikimedia projects - and there will be pizza, cake, and snacks to keep you going!
We continue our monthly editing events in TOG Hackerspace on Wednesday 25 March https://www.meetup.com/en-AU/Wikimedia-Community-Ireland-Meetup/events/vfzvcrybcfbhc/ from 7-9pm. Not only can you learn about Wikipedia, but also Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata and all the other sister projects. All you need is a laptop and some ideas of what you'd like to work on - we'll provide the pizza and the WiFi!
To get a reminder about this and other upcoming event sign up on the TOG Meetup page https://www.meetup.com/Tog-Dublin-Hackerspace/, or follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/WikimediaIreland or Twitter https://twitter.com/WikimediaIE.
Hello all,
Due to the current advice around COVID-19, the events in the National Gallery of Ireland and Trinity College Dublin have been postponed until such time as they can be safely rescheduled. Owing to these concerns, we have also chosen to cancel this month's editing evening in TOG and postpone the Wikipedia Hackathon in TOG for the foreseeable future.
Kind Regards, Rebecca
