*Wiki Science*
The photo and image competition, Wiki Science

this November. If you want to get involved in the organisation, want to
sponsor or help promote the event this year do get in touch. You can see

*Octocon*
If you are attending this year's Octocon, or are interested in Science
Fiction and Fantasy, a number of Wikipedians are hosting an editing
workshop at this year's convention: So You Want to Be a Wiki Editor on
Saturday 20 from 4-6pm. Octocon is taking place from 19 to 21 October in
the Crowne Plaze Hotel, Blanchardstown. You can find all the details about

*Wiki Loves Monuments 2018*
Wiki Loves Monuments in Ireland saw 126 participants upload 1060 images!
Our judges are busy working away, and we will be announcing the 10 winning
images in early November.
*Editing events in TOG Hackerspace*
We will be continuing our monthly editing events in TOG Hackerspace with a
special Hallowe'en themed night on Wednesday 31 September

7-9pm. Whether you are new to Wikipedia or an old hand at editing, come
along for a chat with fellow Wikimedians, who can even suggest an extra
