You clearly haven’t seen the Wikivoyage logo… ;) I think it’s cool that there was an effort to make this conference look a bit different to those before it. It is the tenth one, after all. It’ll be interesting to see if Mexico does similar. It's quite clear to me that the London 2014 logo is a derivative work of the original Wikimania logo, just very rectilinear! But I guess I'm very familiar with the Wikimania logo so I shouldn't be surprised that people don't naturally realise they're the same thing.
