Hi Wikidata folks,
I've been struggling against bug 72348 [1], which leads the dumps to contain both old and new style records. This makes parsing extra challenging.
I tried to follow the bugzilla trail, but it isn't clear where the bug stands. Do you have any guesses about when this issue is likely to get resolved? Days? Weeks? Months?
Thanks for your help!

It's stuck in code review: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/168126/
The trouble is that there are not many people who feel confident to approve changes to that code. If you look at backupTextPass.inc, you'll see why...

Hoi, For Wikidata to be reusable is one of its most important characteristics. The dumps being broken has a very negative effect on its reuse. It is why many, many projects suffer. Please make sure that it gets priority, the priority it deserves. Thanks, GerardM

Thanks for the update, Daniel. I did look at backupTextPass.inc... quite a piece of work. Thanks for pushing on it.
I'll eagerly wait for the first post-bugfix dump!
