Hoi,
For Wikidata to be reusable is one of its most important characteristics. The dumps being broken has a very negative effect on its reuse. It is why many, many projects suffer. Please make sure that it gets priority, the priority it deserves.

It's stuck in code review: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/168126/

The trouble is that there are not many people who feel confident to approve
changes to that code. If you look at backupTextPass.inc, you'll see why...
