Hi all,
About Wiktionary and Wikidata, Hartz proposed at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata_talk:Wiktionary#First_and_second_phas... to "be pragmatic and just import the interwiki links". I agree.
I suggested in the same page that we could have items for Wiktionary where sitelinks would use the label of the item for the sitelink-titles. Is this feasible? I'm not highly knowledgeable about Wikidata, but I suppose this kind of modification shouldn't be too difficult.
What do you think? Please come discuss this matter in the link above.
Have a good day,
Darkdadaah @ fr.wiktionary
Hoi, The existing wiktionaries cannot be served in the same way as Wikipedia and Wikivoyage because Wiktionary does not disambiguate. Each homograph is on the same page.
Consequently you cannot use Wikidata for the existing Wiktionary articles. Thanks, GerardM

This is your own opinion.

Though I'm sure it wasn't your intention to sound so rude, I invite you to take a look at the current proposal.[1]
If you need an Italian explanation (with some of my thoughts), you're welcome.[2]

Hi,
The proposal is about Wiktionary articles/pages language "interwiki" links (e.g. [[en:coin]], [[fr:coin]]), not about individual words/homographs/lexemes (e.g. coin-en-noun, coin-en-verb, coin-fr-noun) which is still discussed elsewhere (see the latest here https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Comparison_of_Projects_and_Proposals_...).
We do need those links, independently of the other data for the words themselves.

Yes, but if the proposal is accepted, we will have to do the work twice. As I wrote to you on WD, there is no rush.
So what if we do it twice? That's not the end of the world, and as far as I understand it, it's not like an effort that would be wasted on a task while abondonning the other. Just because you clean the dust today doesn't mean you are sabotaging your big spring cleanning plan.

The discussion went on in https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata_talk:Wiktionary#First_and_second_phas..., and it seems we finally reached a point to discuss.
