He had been notified of this discussion before I saw this, and of the
discussion on Jimbo's talk page.
And I bet you that there's a good chance he just decides never to edit
again
in the face of this.
If it were to be replicated with all the other editors like him, would
that
be the ideal result? It seems to me that you don't usually solve a
problem
of editors chasing people away from the community by chasing the editors
who
caused the problem away, because that's simply redefining the parameters
of
exclusion.

Feedback mechanisms are essential to the functioning of any complex
system.
