WikiAfrica Hour episode 25 is the launch of Wikimedia Foundation's *Open the Knowledge Journalism Awards*! These awards will celebrate the contributions of journalists who prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion in their reporting, thereby adding to the ecosystem of fact-based stories that the public can draw on to add and verify knowledge on Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects.

This year’s awards will be focused on the African continent.
