Dear African Wikimedians,
On 20 April 2023, the Gungbe Wikinews subdomain (guw.wikinews.org) was created thus becoming the first and only indigenous African language with a Wikinews subdomain.
As a pilot Wikinews in an African language, I plan to make it successful by leading a drive to increase contributions, recruit and train editors. An interesting part of my proposal is the drive to add audio spoken news to the news articles for the not-so-literate and visually impaired.
I am inviting all African Wikimedians to go through my grant proposal[1] and endorse it.
Regards, Samuel

Done. Thank you for putting this together. I look forward to seeing the impact of your project.
Best, Kenny.
