Get ready to be part of something big! We are thrilled to announce that the Africa Union (AU) Day Campaign https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Africa_Day_Campaign_2023 will take place from May-June, in commemoration of AU Day.
As part of this campaign, we are calling on all organizers across Africa to join us in increasing knowledge about topics related to Africa through activities such as edit-a-thons, content campaign drives, local writing contests, and so much more! We want to make this a memorable and unforgettable event for everyone.
Who can apply?
The best part? We are offering microgrants ranging between USD500 and USD1500 to Wikimedia user groups, affiliates, Mission align organizations and institutions, as well as individuals to support their participation in this campaign.
Application Deadline

About the campaign
Open Foundation West Africa https://www.ofwafrica.org/ is proud to be an implementing partner for this year's Africa Day Campaign, which is part of the African Knowledge Initiative (AKI) https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Africa_Knowledge_Initiative. This AKI initiative was born out of a partnership between Wikimedia Foundation https://wikimediafoundation.org/, Africa Union https://au.int/, and Africa No Filter http://www.africanofilter.org/ with a goal to increase the coverage of African topics on Wikimedia projects.
Join us as we come together to celebrate Africa's rich cultural heritage and promote the African continent's diverse knowledge base. Let's make this campaign a success, and together we can showcase Africa to the world!

Préparez-vous à prendre part à quelque chose de grandiose ! Nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que la campagne de la Journée de l'Union africaine (UA) https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Africa_Day_Campaign_2023 aura lieu de mai à juin, en commémoration de la Journée de l'Union Africaine.
Dans le cadre de cette campagne, nous appelons tous les organisateurs à travers l'Afrique à se joindre à nous pour accroître les connaissances sur des sujets liés à l'Afrique par le biais d'activités telles que des edit-a-thons, des campagnes de contenu, des concours locaux de rédaction et bien d'autres ! Nous avons pour espoir d'en faire un événement mémorable et inoubliable pour tous.
Qui peut postuler ?
La meilleure partie? Nous offrons des micro-subventions allant de 500 USD à 1 500 USD aux groupes d'utilisateurs de Wikimedia, aux affiliés, aux organisations et institutions alignées sur la Mission Wikimedienne, ainsi qu'aux individus pour soutenir leur participation à cette campagne.
