To be more precieze, #1 is the winner of Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 (Iran
ànd international), #2, coming from Nepal, came in 5th place for Wiki Loves
Earth 2021 international, and indeed #3 was one of the submissions from
South Africa for Wiki Loves Africa in 2017!
Great to see that our Wiki Loves campaigns are so highly valued by the
Commons community. ❤

I am very happy for this shortlist, not only because I
actually voted for
that very inspiring picture of St John Church of Sohrol in Iran, but also
because the third winner of POTY 2022 is an image from the Wiki Loves
Africa contest.
And this makes me really proud of our work :)

- In the first round, there were 1050 candidate images.
- In the second round, people voted for the 57 finalists (the round 1
top 30 overall and top 2 in each category).
In the second round ? the ?three votes? was used ? eligible users could
vote for up to 3 finalists ? each of these 3 votes counted equal. There
were 2,360 eligible voters in round 1, and 2,971 in round 2.
