Well i concur with the discourse on here. I think for me, it was the
beginning of my journey as a Wikimedian.
Wikiindaba contributed immensely to my current standing, it was a great eye
opener. For me, not everyone may get the opportunity to be at other
Wikimedia related conferences so this is a perfect platform to discuss
issues that pertain to our region or even an opportunity to be trained and
understand what the whole movement is about.
I was somewhat new when i attended my first and that's where i learnt
everything (grant making, reporting, basics of editing, planning
activities, etc.). i wish it comes off next year so many can benefit from
it.
best,
Felix

Well this has been a question always on my mind.Wiki
Indaba was a success
irrespective of other matters arising I strongly believe it shouldn't be a
one time thing.I understand it was made a biannual even meaning it should
happen next year. Are there any such plans in place?

User:Olaniyan Shola actually spoke my mind. I thought of Wikidaba last
week and I
asked myself why we couldn't organize such a meetup for African
Wikimedians again but I couldn't find any brilliant answer to my question.
Is Wikidaba dead? Although, I never participated in the maiden edition but
my colleagues returned to Nigeria with a motivating experience. This year
is almost over but we can plan against next year. Let's not kill the spirit
of Wikidaba!!!
