dear all
Do contesting really change the deletion? Admins love
deleting more than improving, I think.
just to clarify. I don't think the role of any wikipedian is to contestate
necessarily delations (not everything linked to Africa is notable or appropriate for
Wikipedia), but I think your opinions are valuable. it can be also healthy to look at
articles you also believe should be delated, or you can find articles you'd like to
improve :)

I have just discovered that there is a page where it is possible to monitor articles for
delation related to Africa.
you find it here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Deletion_sorting/Africa
maybe it can be relevant to put this page among your favorite pages or to check it once
in a while if you want to provide your opinion.
I think people in this mailing list might enrich significantly the discussions related to
delation.
it is healthy to delate articles which present topics and people that are indeed not
notable. but as we know, sometimes you need to have some background knowledge to actually
know what is notable and what is not. your contribution in this would be great.
thanks,
