Hi Isla,
I am aware that Wiki Africa is licensed under CC-BY-SA. This means that anyone can freely use the contents but does not exactly define the "Ownership". In your earliest comment, you wrote "* But I no longer work with them. If they want to continue, that is great."* which I interpreted as If Africa Center want to continue with the program, that's great.
Since you admitted yourself that Africa Center might continue with the same program/project, it's difficult to assumed they have no legal right on "Wiki Africa".
Regards,
Isaac.

Hello Isaac
WikiAfrica is a movement that is intentionally licenced under CC-BY-SA. Everything to do with WikiAfrica, whichever space a project its hosted in, is under the CC-BY-SA license. All hosts understand that; especially organization like the Africa Centre, etc. who have received funds to do projects under this label. As we say on the page:
*WikiAfrica* is an international movement across the African continent and beyond that encourages individuals and organisations to create, expand and enhance online content on Wikipedia about Africa. WikiAfrica is not owned by one organisation and it belongs to all people and organisations contributing to its scope.
I think that is pretty clear. I am not sure where the confusion is.
warmest Isla

Thank you, Isla.
My understanding of your comment is that "Wiki Africa" is an intellectual property of Flo, Lopenza and you and Africa Center do not have any control over it. Correct? Per the claim here, http://www.africacentre.net/ do you think Africa Center is mistaken? or they are in fact, correct (i.e it's their program, they owns it?
Let me know if you wish to discuss off-list.

Isaac

Is there any chance the website could use a WordPress theme instead of this custom made one?
Something similar along the lines of what was used for the wikilovesafrica website?

Hello
After a lot of time and effort, we are VERY pleased to announce the launch for the WikiAfrica.org http://wikiafrica.org/ website. www.wikiafrica.org
The website has been completely revamped in order to give due credit to all the members of the moment - including sponsors, hosts and, of course, to showcase the projects. Please feel free to look through the website and suggest changes or where you feel more information could be added. At the moment, the information is very sparse and is designed to lead people to investigate the projects in more depth via their own websites, or to get involved with the existing wikimedia chapters and affiliates.
We look forward to your feedback,
Isla and Florence
