Dear African Wikimedians!
AfLIA would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the launch of
the
Integrating Wikimedia projects into African Libraries’ Ecosystem project, a
project funded through the WMF Knowledge Equity Fund.
This project seeks to bridge critical gaps in knowledge accessibility by
addressing two key issues:
1. Why aren’t African content and topics in Wikipedia and Wikidata
linked to African libraries and databases, and how can this be addressed?
2. How can usage of Wiki projects and tools be integrated into routine
library services across African libraries for the benefit of African
patrons?
The launch is scheduled for 10:30am GMT on Zoom today (1st November, 2024).
Join us to learn more about the project and how you can be a part of it! For
more information on how to attend the launch, please visit

Thanks.
