The electricity plug adapter which i brought was good for Spain, but it isn't good for Poland. Does anyone know an electric appliances store near the Baltic Philharmonic where i can buy a fitting plug?
I have a US to Polish plug adapter I would be willing to part with. I have only used one of the two I brought and I have to leave in the morning. I don't know if this works for you, but the offer is open to anyone.

Thank you very much for the offer, but i need an Israel-to-Polish plug. Israel has unique plugs which aren't used anywhere else. (The people from the Standards Institute of Israel, who are supposed to be responsible for this mess, hate them too.)

At least we are nearing the point where devices accept all input voltages...

Good luck, I haven't seen such adapters yet ;-). Nux.

You could try a Spanish-to-Polish adapter and construct your own Israel-to-Polish one by combining them! I discovered that the adapter I had brought, that claimed to be a pretty universal one, didn't work in Germany (which I passed through on the wikitrain to get here) and ended up buying a massive universal adapter in Cologne, which is great. I'm not sure even that handles Israeli plugs, though!
hi,
after wikimania I want to stay at gdansk, sopot or gdynia for a few days - closed to the beach ...
who else might be interested in looking for rooms together, hanging out ...
i'll leave gdansk next sat. 17.7.
cu, frieder
Westerplatte has a nice beach you can reach either tourist boat (40PLN) or bus (106 iirc, from Music Academy). It takes less than a hour.

Sopot has a very nice beach, but it's more expensive then Gdańsk in general. You can try to find something in Gdynia around the city centre. You could try Orbis hotel I guess (very close to a city beach), but I'm not sure about the prices...
Good luck, Nux.
Hey! Today we are going to sightseeing Sopot and Gdynia. We will meet in Sopot at 1 pm on platform of SKM (fast urban railway).
