Hello, https://wikimania2014.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Attendees is still basically empty. I've not yet decided whether to attend Wikimania this year; a major factor will be who I can meet/do something with there (together with accommodation cost).
Therefore, WMF scholarship administrators, please paste the list of already-funded scholarship recipients (usernames) on the page. Knowing what bunch of wonderful Wikimedia volunteers already got selected will be very inspiring/compelling. (I believe WMF staff attendees were already decided as well? Chapter scholarships and affiliates' attendees can be added later.)

This will go up when registration goes live next week. It is an opt-in list and we will encourage people as best we can to use it.

Just as an aside, there is something wrong with the charts on that page.

Registration? That will take ages, too late.

Still seeing almost nobody among WMF scholarships (less than 20), or even among WMF staff for that matter. Looks like a very inefficient use of resources to require hundreds of contacts and edits to add information that WMF already has and can post with one edit, making the conference more effective at no cost.

We expect to post the usernames of the scholarship recipients in the next two weeks or so on:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:TPS/Wikimania_scholars#2014_Wikimania...
Still waiting for people to register, get their visas, and book travel before we truly know who are finally going to attend.
It's no small understaking for WMF to try to get everyone (staff, scholarship recipients, etc.) registered, hotel, and travel arrangements done in a very short amount of time. You will probably see a surge of people indicating on that page below that they are attending by the end of the month.

Hi,
when will you start releasing the first names? Or you wish to release all at once?
