several people have to leave with one of several planes at 0:25 tomorrow morning (which is logically this evening ;-).
Google Maps estimates a good hour by car from Shek-O to the airport. The volunteers suggest we call one (or more) taxis at around 20:30, to depart at 21:00 from the beach for the airport. That leaves us a small margin for error. I guess (based on the distance and rates) that a taxi, which can take 3 or 4 people, will be about HK$500 for the trip, but THAT IS JUST MY UNQUALIFIED GUESS (sorry for shouting ;-).
This plan requires us to take the luggage to Shek-O. I've been told that the busses have luggage compartments, so that should not be a problem.
If you are interested, give a shout on the list.

I spoke with the organisers this morning about this.
21:00 is a very good plan, I did the same calculations. Guess it proves they're good ;-) According to my calculation we will have 1,5 h extra time (for traffic jams or whatever).
I've been told that we might need to cabs because of the luggage. One cab ride was estimated to 300 - 400 HKD. We should order a cab from Shek O once we are there - for some reason the organiser say that it's better than ordering it now during the day and arrange the time 21:00 at the beach.
So far we are four taking the cab to a flight at 0:25: * Stephan * the lady from Finland * Benoît - I haven't meet him yet * me
